We need action on dodgy shops
Following the Labour government’s major nationwide crackdown on the organised crime gangs exploiting Britain’s high streets, we’ve all seen that local shops have been raided - but then what?
We need Sandwell council to act swiftly and openly with the powers they already have, to give residents and legitimate local businesses confidence that repeat offenders won’t just reopen and carry on breaking the law. And if they need more powers, we want to know what they’re doing about it.
Our high streets should be places people feel safe and proud of — supporting honest businesses, not criminals.
